What happens when the story you’ve been handed is filled with pain, loss, and silence? In Trauma Recycled: A Memoir of Adoption, Abuse, and Healing, I share my journey through childhood trauma, addiction, and grief, and the courage it took to turn pain into purpose. Ultimately, this story is proof that healing and hope can grow even after deep loss.

“From Trauma to Heartbreak to Perserverance”
I couldn’t put this book down. Anne shows us how your past does not have to define you. All that she went through yet persevered with heart. Her life wasn’t easy, with sexual abuse, addiction, heartbreak, and trials of life. But to meet her now, she shows so much stength, poise and Grace. She proves you do not have to remain a victim. A must read.

“Hope and Courage Wrapped Into One”
This book covers it all! We are all here on this earth to evolve and always learn. Our experiences don’t define us but make us stronger. Although I didn’t share the same experiences as Anne I just became more understanding of people that have gone through similar trauma. There is so much in this book you can relate to.
We are all worthy of a better life no matter what our past is. We just need to put in a little work everyday and see the magic happen! Thank you universe for this book and thank you Anne for sharing your story. Highly recommend this book!

“Inspiring”
Anne did a wonderful putting her story together. So emotional, and vulnerable, yet inspiring and beautiful. For one person to go through so much trauma, and find ways to get through it, knowing there’s more to life. A must read for many different audiences.
Also, I’d encourage those done with reading the book, to donate your copy to your local women’s shelter or library, so that those audiences have access to the book as well. Enjoy the read!

“Choose Happy”
This book is a great read for any friend, parent, child, sister, brother or anyone that you know that may have been through a struggle in life.
It is also eye-opening for people who are living their lives that take for granted so many things that other people have lived through. On the surface any one you encounter may have lived this life. Be kind, show compassion and appreciate what you have when so many out there are struggling. Trauma recycled is the real deal.
Anne shows her struggle while she continues to grow and become a success along the way. Not an easy path but one that can be chosen. Choose happy? Hell Yes!

“Courageous Life Story”
What a wonderful book! I read the 1st free chapter while waiting for it to be delivered & was hooked. The author’s writing style is straightforward, honest & grabs you to want more; always a sign of a good read. Different parts of the book triggered my memories & helped me to review my life in a different perspective. Such a courageous true story of one woman’s life that is bound to help anyone who reads it!

“Can’t Put it Down”
This is such a powerful memoir. Anne endured so much in her life, at times believing she deserved it because everyone told her how worthless she was. Yet, deep down, she kept looking for that beam of light above her that signaled a way out and hope that she really did deserve better. She says at one point she doesn’t consider herself a “Survivor”, and she’s right. She is so much more than that.
She is a “Victor” and can look at what she has accomplished as a very special Victory over where she was, who she thought she was and what she thought was her place among others.
It took guts to share her story and not candy-coat it or leave parts out to “soften” it. It should be mandatory reading for people who need to believe in themselves.
