ABOUT ME
Author, Speaker, Podcast Host
I’m Anne Peshka, an author, trauma-informed speaker, and coach who helps people release old stories, build resilience, and live with intention. My work is rooted in my own journey of adoption, abuse, and healing, and today I create spaces where others feel safe, seen, and empowered to rise into freedom.
Whether through my book, Trauma Recycled, my workshops, or my membership community, my mission is simple: to remind you that healing is possible and you don’t have to walk this path alone.
I Believe Every Person Has the Power to Transform Their Story
For years, I carried labels that weren’t mine, grief that felt too heavy, and silence that kept me small. My healing journey has shown me that the past doesn’t define us – what matters is how we rise from it.
Today, I share that truth with others, creating spaces where people feel safe, supported, and inspired to step into their most authentic selves.
My Story
I know what it’s like to feel weighed down by old narratives and pain that seems impossible to overcome. My personal journey of adoption, abuse, addiction, and healing has shaped not just who I am, but how I show up in the world.
Through resilience and intentional growth, I reclaimed my identity and began living with clarity and purpose. That transformation became the foundation of my work – helping others discover the same freedom in their own lives.
I share this journey in my memoir, Trauma Recycled: A Memoir of Adoption, Abuse, and Healing, and through my work as a speaker, coach, and community leader. My mission is simple: to help others move from silence to empowerment, from default to intention, and from pain to freedom.
I know the road isn’t easy, and healing doesn’t happen overnight. But I also know that change is possible, no matter how heavy the past feels. My story is proof that we can rise stronger, and my passion is to help others discover that same possibility for themselves.
Why I Do This Work
I do this work because I know what it feels like to carry pain in silence. For years, I lived under the weight of stories that weren’t mine, labels that made me feel small, and grief that seemed impossible to move through. I know the exhaustion of wearing masks to get through the day, while on the inside wondering if healing was even possible.
What I discovered is that freedom comes when we stop pretending we’re fine and start giving ourselves permission to be real. Healing begins when we find safe spaces to be seen, heard, and understood without judgment.
That’s why I created my book, my workshops, and my community, to offer the very thing I once needed most: a place where honesty is welcome, growth is supported, and hope is restored.
I do this work because I believe no one should have to carry their story alone. My purpose is to walk alongside others as they rise from what they’ve been through and step into the life they were meant to live.
The heart of my work is guided by a set of beliefs that shape not only what I do, but how I do it.
These are the truths I return to again and again, both in my own life and in the spaces I create for others:
Authenticity
I believe in showing up as our true selves, not the version others expect us to be. Real growth happens when we can be honest about where we are and who we are becoming.
Compassion
I believe that healing requires gentleness. We can’t shame ourselves into change, but compassion has the power to open doors that pain and judgment keep locked.
Courage
I believe that every step forward, no matter how small, is an act of bravery. Choosing growth, even in the face of fear, is one of the most powerful choices we can make.
Resilience
I believe we are stronger than we realize. Even when life knocks us down, we have the capacity to rise again and again, and often, stronger than before.
Freedom
I believe that freedom comes from within. It’s not about forgetting the past, but about releasing its grip so we can step into a life rooted in truth, intention, and possibility.
Connection
I believe that true healing doesn’t happen in isolation. We are wired for connection, and safe, supportive relationships are often the bridge that help us rise.
These beliefs are the foundation of every workshop I lead, every community I create, and every story I share. If these values resonate with you, you’ll feel at home in the spaces I create.
What I Do
Everything I create, whether it’s a book, a workshop, or a community gathering, is rooted in the belief that healing is possible and freedom is within reach.
As An
Author
Through my memoir, Trauma Recycled: A Memoir of Adoption, Abuse, and Healing, I share my own story with honesty and vulnerability. Writing allows me to reach people who may be walking through similar struggles, giving them a voice to relate to and hope to hold on to.
My words are an invitation for readers to see themselves differently and believe that healing is possible.
As A
Speaker
I deliver trauma-informed talks that not only inspire but equip audiences with tools they can use in real life. My signature topics, identity, grief, and intentional living, open the door for meaningful conversations that connect deeply with people from all walks of life.
Every event is about more than just words on a stage; it’s about creating a transformative experience that lingers long after.
As a Coach & Workshop Leader
Through my workshops and membership community, I provide safe spaces where individuals can reflect, grow, and take action. These sessions are interactive and practical, combining guided exercises with real conversations that lead to breakthrough.
Whether online or in person, my goal is always to meet people where they are and walk with them toward freedom.
As a Host & Guide
I hold space for authentic conversations through my community and future podcast, amplifying voices, stories, strategies, and lived experiences that inspire healing and help people rise.
Hosting is about more than content, it’s about building connection, sparking growth, and creating a trusted, supportive place where others feel truly seen, heard, and valued.
When I’m not writing or speaking, you’ll often find me outdoors, exploring national parks or enjoying a quiet walk. Nature grounds me, it’s where I find peace, clarity, and a reminder to stay present in the beauty of everyday life.
I’m also someone who loves meaningful conversations, laughter that comes from deep in the belly, and moments of connection that leave you feeling lighter. These small, simple joys keep me rooted, balanced, and grateful.
Life isn’t about rushing to the next milestone; it’s about pausing long enough to appreciate where you are, who you’re with, and how far you’ve already come. That’s the perspective I try to carry into my work and into the spaces I create for others.
If You’ve Found Your Way Here, Know This: You Belong In A Space Where Your Story Matters
My hope is that what I’ve lived through and what I’ve learned can remind you that you are stronger than you know, and that you don’t have to rise alone.
